As well as protecting Ash trees on Andover’s various city owned properties, Andover residents will be able to have CTS protect their valuable Ash trees at a discounted rate. Ash trees will be inspected by Andover staff, who will determine if they are eligible for the city rate, and in some cases an additional bonus discount of 20% for healthy trees being treated for the first time.
Carr’s Tree Service arborists treated 176 trees for the program in 2022 and hope to do even more this year, Andover’s 7th year into the program.
It’s a great program for the residents of the city. Andover has negotiated a discounted rate to incentivise protecting the ash population. People who might not have even heard or EAB before were informed of the imminent risk and took action to protect their valuable trees.
